Lawrence 'larry' king, 15yrs old student at E.O. Green junior high school in oxnard, california, was murdered on 12feb08. Brandon McInerney is currently being charged with murder and the commission of a hate crime, will be tried as an adult, which means he could face 50 years to life in prison if convicted. It was alleged that the suspect's motivation for the crime was that King was gay and had asked McInerney to be his Valentine.
He was shot in the head at a computer lab classroom for being openly gay and sometimes dressed in a "feminine" manner. He was brain dead but kept on life support til 15feb08 so that his organs can be donated.
